"North Shore Seascape"

In the late summer of 2010, I had the amazing opportunity to spend a week on the beautiful Hawaiian Island of Kaua'i. One day along the way to a kayaking tour in Hanalei Bay, my friends and I made a brief stop at the Kilauea Point National Wildlife refuge to check out the historic lighthouse. On the walk back to the car, I noticed this beautiful vista of the north shore of Kaua'i, looking westward toward Princeville. The cloud formations over the mountain with mid-morning lighting was simply perfect. More often than not, it's the shots that I don't plan for that end up being the "keepers."
